It is the objective of the Livingston Parish School Board to provide equal educational opportunities for all children within this parish. It is the expressed desire of the School Board and district to participate in federal revenue programs which provide direct educational and auxiliary services or opportunities to students enrolled in the district schools. School district personnel shall monitor all federal revenue programs that the school district might benefit from and seek to secure as much federal funding from these programs as necessary. Those applications requiring Board approval shall be submitted to the Board for consideration prior to being submitted to the funding agency.

COMPARABILITY REQUIREMENT

It shall be the policy of the Livingston Parish School Board to use state and local funds to provide, in accordance with law and guidelines, equivalence among schools as to teachers, administrators, auxiliary personnel, curriculum materials, and instructional supplies, in program areas, which taken as a whole, are at least comparable to such services being provided in areas of this jurisdiction receiving federal funds.
